Who makes the best sales associates?
For starters, someone who has a strong desire to serve buyers and sellers. Although there is no exact profile of a real estate sales associate, we look for the following qualities in recruits:
- Self-motivated
- Organized
- Goal-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
- Full-time commitment
Getting Started
Massachusetts requires a minimum of 40 classroom hours followed by a multiple-choice exam. There are several pre-licensing courses offered that will prepare you to pass the state exam. A score of 70% is required to pass the license test, which covers general knowledge and the rest estate laws of this state. Recruits who pass the state exam may hold their license for future use or choose a company and submit their paperwork for affiliation with that company. The entire process may take as little as a month to complete.
